To be eligible for the SU financial benefit, the students have to report a minimum and maximum amount of hours per week/month.
An example of how Day Worker could help the students is in situations where the employees cannot offer enough hours to meet SU’s agreement.
What is next?
For instance, in certain situations, a student might lack two or three working hours for the week. In this case, it is an emergency to find a job as fast as possible, to complete it immediately/as soon as possible.
Day Worker offers the possibility for students to find jobs fast, helping them compensate for the lack of hours for the SU.
The answer is: YES.
Firstly, the international version will be launched all around Europe, this meaning, that students or other users of the app, can find a part-time job, full-time job or internship abroad.
Secondly, through Day Worker, students have the possibility to find an internship that is available at the time they are looking for and be able to contact directly the potential employer.
Based on our Terms & Conditions, both parties (employers and workers) are obliged to inform about the change of schedule or other issues.
Hence, the changes have to be provided within a minimum of 3 days before the job has to start. Additionally, you have the option to reschedule the starting day/time or cancel the job.
For example
If because of a situational/appropriate reason, you do not have the possibility to notify the worker or the employer 3 days before the jobs start, it is equally important to write a message to reschedule or cancel the job.
NOTE: Any change applied to the working agreement must be written as a message to the employee/employer in the app Chat.
If the name of the hiring manager is not specified in the job posting, you may be able to find it on the company’s official website.
Nevertheless, it is important to realize that if you still can not find the name, you can start your letter with one of the following forms of neutral salutation ‘’Dear Hiring Manager’’ or ‘’To Whom It May Concern’’.
Mandatory elements to include: your name, contact information (phone number, email and a link to your LinkedIn profile), working experience (including internships), education and skills.
Finally, if you have a long list of great experiences, include those that are the most relevant to the job you are applying.
Some tips from great minds onto gaining experience without appealing to full-time jobs.
“Consider volunteering with nonprofits… sometime volunteer gigs turn into paid jobs, and they are a good way to start your resume,” says Robyn L. Coburn.
“People are often willing to take a chance on a less experienced freelancer for a one-time project, especially if it costs them less than hiring a bigger firm to complete the work,” says Jessie West of West Coaching and Consulting.
